Resident Epilepsy Surgery Course

Resident Epilepsy Surgery Course

2026 AES and ASSFN Resident Epilepsy Surgery Course

This joint AES and ASSFN Resident Epilepsy Surgery Course is two full days at the AES Annual Meeting in Colorado. The AES and ASSFN course will take place on Friday, December 4 – Saturday, December 6.

The purpose of this multi-day course is to share the most up-to-date information about epilepsy surgery with the next generation of providers. This exposure may facilitate their appropriate use of epilepsy surgery as a tool for the treatment of patients with intractable epilepsy. Day 1 of the course will cover pre-operative evaluation, and day 2 will address surgical interventions and methods: indications and results. The course will use multiple learning strategies including focused brief didactic lectures, and educator-led small group sessions with peers and experts  in the field of neurology, neuropsychology, and neurosurgery.
