Rationale: Rationale: Artifact recognition is an essential skill in the interpretation of EEG. This can be especially challenging with ambulatory and LTM recordings. Methods: Method: We selected 20 common and uncommon samples of EEG artifact, normal variants and seizures, giving you the viewer the opportunity to identify what you think it is. Check your answers, keep score and compare to others of the same level of expertise. Results: Results: You will then be able to quantify the number of artifacts you were able to identify. Reviewing known artifacts and testing your knowledge on new or rare samples. Rate yourself on a scale of the number correct. From Med student to Hans Berger. Conclusions: Conclusion: Artifact recognition will continue to be a challenge to even the most experienced electroencephalographers, with new technologies and innovative patients continually adding to our list of interesting and confounding artifacts.
