To analyze operative outcomes of children intractable epilepsy and introduce surgical experience. To retrospectively collect 50 surgical intractable epilepsy children, and statistics patient[apos]s general clinical feature, examinations, treatments, and conclude surgical experiences of those patients. There were 1.3[sim]14 ages patients, averaging 5.3 years epileptic history, 18 (36%)cases with abnormal MRI images, 24 (48%)patients with notable defective total intelligence quotient, 32 (64%) patients underwent general tonic-clonic seizures. Epileptogenics focus located at temporal lobe in 20 cases, frontal lobe 12 cases, fronto-temporal lobe 10 cases, occipital lobe 5 patiens, parietal lobe 3 cases. There were 22 cases (44%) under lesion resection or anterior temporal lobectomy, 8 (16%) selective amygdalohippocampotomy, 30 (60%) patients binding with corpus callosotomy, 4 multiple subpial transection (MST) only; their complications include 5 transient paresis, 3 transient light anepia. Surgical result included 29(58%) Engle I cases, 17 (34%) Engle II grade, 3 (6%) Engle III, and I Engel IV grade patient. Surgery were are necessary to some childhood intractable epilepsy, it can reach good surgical results with few complications.
