The Annual AES Wine Tasting and Silent Auction is one of the Society's most popular social events. In addition to being one of the best times to be had at the AES Annual Meeting, attendees can feel good about their participation, as ticket purchases and auction proceeds benefit the Lennox and Lombroso Trust and the Susan S. Spencer Fund, which support AES research programs.
AES is seeking donations for the annual silent auction. Items that typically perform well at the auction are collectible wines and experiences--such as a donated stay at a vacation home or timeshare.
Your donation will help AES continue to be a key source for the research grants and fellowships that make a direct impact on epilepsy research happening both now and for years to come.
A substantial percentage of AES grantees go on to make significant accomplishments in epilepsy, including strong records of securing the K and R awards from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) that do so much to advance epilepsy careers and the research being done.
AES grantees have achieved great success. A recent sampling of grantees showed:
- They have been published in more than 3,000 publications
- They have received more than $120M in subsequent research grants
- Most currently direct or conduct research, more than half with external funding
