Quality Measures

The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) has developed a set of evidence-based quality measures for epilepsy and seizure care, designed to help clinicians assess and improve the care they deliver to patients. These measures address key areas of epilepsy management, such as seizure documentation, counseling, treatment planning and support consistent, high-quality practice. Explore the full set of AAN Epilepsy and Seizures Quality Measures to learn how they can inform your practice.

To help members put these measures into practice, AES has developed a series of Performance Improvement CME (Pi-CME) activities that align with several of the AAN quality measures. These practice improvement quality initiatives guide clinicians through assessing their current performance, implementing targeted improvements, and measuring the results.
